Pastoral care
-
care and counsel
Our clergy are available for a wide variety of pastoral care. This includes:
Pastoral Counseling: Working together to hear the voice of God as it regards one’s life and providing a listening ear during life’s difficulties or when one is unsure about a spiritual or theological matter.
Confession: Receiving the mercy and grace of Christ via the Ministry Reconciliation.
Home and Hospital Visits/Sick Calls: Providing care for those who are sick, alone, or bedridden and offering communion to those cannot receive it during our gathered worship.
Funeral and Bereavement Care: Helping coordinate a funeral and providing spiritual support for the family.
Blessing a new family or child: Coming to the hospital or home to bless and pray over a new child.
Blessing a new home or apartment: Coming to pray over and bless a new home or apartment before or after a big move.

Deacon's Fund
At Missio Dei, our Deacons’ Fund is a lifeline for those in our community facing sudden or unexpected needs—whether it’s help with rent, groceries, medical expenses, or other essential support. Managed with care and confidentiality by our deacons, this fund exists to bring tangible hope and relief, grounded in the gospel call to love our neighbors.
Who Can Receive Support?
Missio Dei members experiencing urgent crises.
Regular attenders facing temporary hardship.
Local neighbors in need, when circumstances allow.
How It Works
Requests are treated with discretion. Our deacons will assess needs thoughtfully and respond with care, aiming to provide short-term relief while helping people access longer-term support when needed. -
