For whatever is demanded by truth, by justice, by mercy, or by love must surely be taken to be willed by God.

Service

  • Loving Our Neighbor

At Misiso Dei we endeavor to be the kind of community that takes seriously the needs and concerns of our neighbor's. That means listening and partnering with our neighbors to pursue justice, equity, and peace for everyone who calls Ridgewood home. This means serving and supporting local initiatives and partnering with other community support networks.

  • Caring for the Stranger

In the scriptures the stranger or the foreigner are listed together with the widow and orphans as vulnerable persons. It is the job of the church to give foreigners a palce to call home, to rest their head, and to treat them not as strangers but as beloved image bearers. At Misison Dei we discern a distinct call to bear with and support our migrant brothers and sisters, providing, services and supports and safe place to worship.

  • Defending the Vulnerable

The poor and the vulnerable have a special place in the heart of God. We too hold this as a gospel distinctive and want to equip our community to think deeply about how their lives intersect with the poor and vulnerable and how we might serve these “least” of these, and elevate them both in our community and in our neighborhood
